What is the network infrastructure provided by DAFZA?
DAFZA provides complete Voice and Data cabling within your office. We do not provide active components.
What type of cabling is provided?
CAT 5 cabling is provided in phase I and II and the LIUs.
CAT 6 is the cabling in phase III onwards.
How many floor boxes are provided for each office?
Number of floor boxes is dependant on office area. As a rule 6 floor boxes are provided for each 50Sq M area. Each floor box is equipped with dual power supply, one Voice point and one Data point.
Do you provide patch cords for Data and telephone?
Customer has to purchase the patch cords. DAFZA can provide them at a nominal cost.
Can I get additional Floor Boxes/sockets?
Yes. We can provide extra sockets/floor boxes at an additional cost. Please contact IT section for a quote.
Can DAFZA supply active components like hubs, switches, routers etc?
Yes. We can supply and install all networking components in your office. Please contact IT section with your requirements for a quote.
Does DAFZA provide telephony and internet services.
Telephony service is presently provided in phase IV offices. We are working on providing this service to all our customers in the near future.
Presently, we do not provide internet connections to our customers.
How do I get Internet connection in my office?
You can apply to Etisalat for an internet connection through DAFZA IT Section.
What type of Internet connection can I get?
You can get different connections like dialup, ISDN dialup, ADSL, Leased line etc. For data speeds and charges please contact DAFZA IT Section.
Who will setup and configure internet in my office
Customer has to setup/configure the internet. IT Section can provide this service at 150 AED per hour.
